Everyone can get to Google. Why does the library include Google Scholar in its list of databases?
Why do I have to supply my University login and password to use a free database like Google Scholar?
Okay you've convinced me. How do I set up my computer so that I get the benefits you describe?
If you link to Google Scholar through the library you will save time and need fewer clicks to access full text articles.
Because you are being linked directly to full text you must be "authenticated" as a legitimate YU user. Once you provide your login and password to access Google Scholar you will not need to do so again to be connected directly to the full text.
